FINAL DIRECT MAILER REFLECTION

hey guys!

so we had to finish up out direct mailers this week and I can say that I really did enjoy this assignment and working with photoshop. The more I played around with it the easier it become and this application is definitely something that will aid my design skills. For this project we were asked to complete two direct mailers to certain stakeholders. Again, mine were a high school senior looking to apply for colleges and further a high school senior or OU freshman who has attained the required score/grades to apply for the honors college. Finding these stakeholders was fairly easy for me, the hardest part was thinking what exactly and how exactly I was going to complete the project.

When it’s all said and done, I am proud of what I have accomplished and how my work turned out. I am even more shocked that my design ability is moving up in the world and love how much I am learning about the applications, like InDesign and Photoshop and how much I’m learning about myself. I can now see a style taking form and I believe that in the future this is something that I will eventually have to switch up so all of my design work doesn’t look the same. In the past with design work in classes I knew I wasn’t very strong and almost hid my work from others and now all I want to do is show everyone and ask for advice for how to make things better or tweak little things here and there.
