Final Direct Mailers

For the project on the direct mailer I was tasked with creating two separate postcards for two stakeholders.

The first one is targeted toward students from the Oklahoma City metro area for whom financial assistance may be a deciding factor when thinking about college. Here is the final draft, back and front, of that postcard.

The second postcard is aimed at parents of these same students, considering the ethnic diversity that exists in the OKC metro area and how parents may feel about the students going to a big university of even moving away to live on campus. Here is the final draft for that.

This was an almost month long project that definitely took a whole lot of thinking. After deciding who I wanted my stakeholders to be I also started the drafts from the limited knowledge I had from a more personal experience and what I remember from being a high school student in this same situation.

I liked that I got to learn more features in photoshop and actually discovered I knew more that I thought I did. Realistically I know there’s much to improve on based on these two drafts but I am still proud of the final outcome.

The biggest lesson I learned was that even the smallest changes can make a huge difference. I spent hours on the tiniest of details and some of the things I loved about the postcards actually were outcomes of happy accidents.
