Final Draft Reflection
For this PR publications lesson we were asked to make a letterhead and a business card. I think this was a good “starter” project for us to begin with. It let us use the basic indesign and photoshop features while creating something professional. I like what I created. I went a completely opposite design direction than what the company is used to because I wanted to not just copy a similar look they had but try something new. I most likely will not pitch to the company what I created because they have such a classic scheme that they have used since the beginning. I wanted to go a different route more for my benefit so I could be more creative with it and work with my own ideas. I think my reaction was positive because I’m proud of myself for making something that looks good in indesign since I am a beginner. I feel more confident about using these tools now having worked with them over the last few weeks. If I were to start over I know I would do it completely different, not because I’m not happy with mine, just because I would like to try out different options if I had the time. If I could give a tip to the next round of students doing this project I would tell them to never take your first idea, keep playing around with everything.
These are my final products:
