Final Newsletter Reflection

Well, my newsletter project is finally complete! I made a LOT of changes between the dummy layout and final version. I’m happy with the way it turned out, but it took a lot to get there! Arguably the biggest change was the company I chose to focus on. Disney didn’t have any good stories I could use for an external public, but Target was full of press releases for external publics. I’m a big fan of Target as well, so it worked out. I fixed my dummy layout and rearranged things at least 12 times over the course of the project. Every time I would export it, I saw something I needed to fix. I had a few friends look over it too to see if the reader would find it visually appealing. I used that feedback and my instincts to create the final product(s) below:

I am relieved that this project is over because my patience was definitely tested, especially with the spacing issues I faced. Like I’ve said in the past, I’m a perfectionist and kept changing things to make it perfect in my opinion. However, I enjoyed this project. I’m glad we had to do a dummy layout first so I could get a better feel for what I wanted the newsletter to be printed like.
