Final Reflection
This is the final time I will write a blog post as PR Pubs students. The class is coming to an end and the only appropriate way to reflect on PR Pubs is to write a blog post. First, I will discuss our final project, Summary of Learning. For this project we pretty much had free reign. We were able to choose what we wanted to design using the platform of our choice. I decided to use Canva because it wasn’t working well for my when we used it previously so I thought this would be a great time to create something using Canva. I created info graphic about cheese using Canva. I decided to do it on cheese because I love cheese and thought it would be fun. I really enjoyed the convenience of canva (using it from your laptop) but there are many limitations that can get in the way of your vision. I enjoyed creating info graphic about cheese because I learned about cheese and got to the things we have learned in this class. I really tried hard to minimize my white space previously that has been an issue for me and I think on this assignment I did a good job of using all my space. Organizing the info graphic was harder than I thought. It’s a lot of information in a little space and you need to make the right information pop from the page. Below is my finally project, Summary of Learning.
I really enjoyed this course. I learned more information about a new topic than any other class I have taken. I appreciate that we have a lot of autonomy in the class because I believe it fosters creativity. I have taken things I learned in this course into my daily life already. I used many of the design concepts we learned and used them in my internship. The only thing that could have been helpful that wasn’t included is how to create aesthetically appealing documents using regular computer apps like word or excel. I think it would be really helpful because most people/places don’t have all the expensive software we have access to. Overall, I learned so much and enjoyed this class. I really like that we have a portfolio of work we can take with us.
