First First Draft

This week we were asked to do our first from the ground up design work using InDesign. And boy oh boy was it a frustrating, yet valuable learning experience. The frustrating part were the ever-present discrepancies between the design in my head and the design on my computer screen. I definitely could relate to Ira Glass’s remarks in his video “On Being Creative” (which can be found here). I wanted it to look so much better than it did, but I just don’t have that skill level yet.

Having said that, I’m not disappointed with how it turned out. Overall, I captured the essence of what I was trying to achieve, even though it wasn’t perfect. I look forward to receiving feedback and honing my skills through further practice!
