Home Away From Home

 

Although the Pi Beta Phi house is not directly on campus, it is my favorite place to go, whether it’s grabbing a quick breakfast before class or needing somewhere to relax, the Pi Phi  house is just that place for me.

I will never forget the first time I walked in to Pi Phi, I had never felt so loved and more at home. Rush week is a confusing and stressful time for any girl going through rush, however, the moment I walked into Pi Phi all my worries and stress went out the window. I knew that I wanted to be a part of Pi Beta Phi and thankfully, I got that opportunity.

My favorite memory of that house is getting the opportunity to live in it sophomore year with my pledge class. My greatest memories of college were made in that house, along with providing me with lifelong friendships.

Everyone told me that you will find your bridesmaids and best friends in college, well thanks to pi phi, I did.

As I’m going into my senior year of college, it’s sad to think that my best years are coming to an end, however, I know that I can always go back to the Pi Phi house and reminisce on all the good times my friends and I had living in that house.

The Pi Beta Phi house has given me so many things during my years at OU, but more importantly it has given me a home away from home and I am so thankful I always have that house to go back to.
