Home Away From Home

Hello all!

A perfect way to start this Wednesday morning is to remind myself how thankful I am for this home away from home, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

I’ve always been a super homesick person. Coming all the way from Tyler, Texas to Norman was a huge struggle for me. I never would have thought that Kappa would be such a blessing, but it has taught me so many things. I am so grateful for the friendships I have made. Last year I got the chance to live in the house with 90 girls. Wow! I honestly was not sure if that would be the best for me, it sounded way too overwhelming. Little did I know, it was the time of my life. Walking into the huge house, there was never a time where I didn’t feel welcome. Everyone always had smiling faces and we were all constantly pushing each other do be the very best we can be. It was the perfect place to eat, sleep and of course study. You always had a buddy, which was my favorite. Kappa Kappa Gamma is my favorite place on campus and will forever be my home away from home!
