Letterhead Reflection

This week in my Publications class we were asked to design a letterhead for our organization.  This was a difficult task because I rarely see or pay attention to any company’s letterhead!  Thankfully the assignments we did on Pinterest last week really came in handy.  On our Inspiration boards we collected different letterheads that showed how unique you can be with such simple design techniques.   Below is the letterhead I designed for Oklahoma Watch.  I based much of my design off of something on Pinterest (mainly the part of having a faded logo in the bottom right corner).

I think I had a much easier time working with the two design programs this week and the letterhead turned out better than I imagined!  I was much more relaxed  and knew that I would get the assignment done.  Whereas last week, I was freaking out because I had no idea how to get the assignment done.

On a deeper level, I think I was little more calm because I’m getting some experience and all of these tasks aren’t completely new anymore.  Also, we had just one blog post to complete instead of four.  This gave us most of the week to focus on our designs, so that helped to alleviate some of the stress!

Below is the 2nd draft of my business card designs.  The difference from this last week is that I filled in the gap of the logo, made the text vertical and made the blue a lighter shade.
