Mental Illness Competitive Analysis

For my business, People Helping People, I completed a competitive analysis on Pinterest for other mental health organizations. I was able to determine answers to the following questions.

  1. How does your organization differ from its competitors? One major difference I noticed between my organization and it’s competitors is the lack of social media for my organization, People Helping People. When I typed in Mental Health in the search bar or when I typed in Mental Health Awareness, People Helping People did not even show up.
  2. How should your organization’s image and message differ from its competitors? One thing I want People Helping People to focus on is the different ways that others can help people struggling with mental illness. Many of the pins I found on Pinterest focused on how people with mental disease feel rejected and how they are afraid to speak up about their mental illness. However, I want People Helping People to focus on outreaching to the mentally healthy and providing them skills to help people struggling with mental illness in daily life, while raising money for the disease.
