Overview:  Born Free USA is a national non-profit organization that is passionately driven to stop animal suffering and protect wildlife. Their campaigns fight against animals in entertainment, exotic pets, the wildlife trade, and trapping and fur. Born Free takes action all over the world and fights hard to keep animals living in their natural habitat. Born Free brings forth the message of “compassionate conservation.”

Strengths:  Born Free USA has continued to meet the strict standards set by Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Allience, which allows them to display the BBB seal. Born Free is a GuideStar participant that has been awarded the highest Gold-level. 2015 was the best year for Born Free USA by making advancements with legislative laws and public policies. A variety of animal rescues took place in from South Africa, Michigan, to Bulgaria.  They also launched global projects. On February 21, Born Free USA celebrated World Pangolins Day and went on to raise $672 by selling t-shirts with the message “Don’t let pangolins roll away forever.” They continue to show their passion for animal welfare by engaging in any action that will bring awareness and well-being.  The website has a list of several celebrities that support and promote Born Free USA. They have also been followed by film crews such as CNN. The non profit brings in $5.39M in income through contributions.

Weaknesses: Born Free USA’s income relies 85% on contributions. Bringing awareness to citizens.

Competitors: There are not really any non profit groups who are against Born Free USA. Their main rivals are people and organizations who are for animal cruelty and murder. Non profit organizations who may be seen as a threat are America for Animals, Voices for Pets, and Compassion with Borders. These are all non profits who fight against animal cruelty.
