My First Blog

Hi friends!

My name is Courtney Lawson and I’m a junior Public Relations major with a minor in General Business! I’m from Trophy Club, TX (yes, it’s a real place and it’s okay if you have absolutely no idea where it is). I am obsessed with candles, Christmas, HGTV and playing Sims (I know Sims is “nerdy”, but I seriously love Sims). I am a Christian and I value my beliefs very much, however, contrary to popular belief, I do NOT judge others who have views that are different than my own (: My religion, my family and my friends motive me each and every day to be the best version of myself. My mom is probably my favorite person in the whole entire world, she’s a Kindergarten teacher and just the sweetest lady you’ll ever meet, but most importantly she does so much more for me than I could ever thank her enough for. I’m a planner and I’m an organizer because if I don’t I become stressed and there’s nothing I dislike more than feeling stressed! I am an extremely visual person, therefore I find design in my life everywhere. This actually is very nerdy  but when I play Sims I truly just love to design houses. I love designing the structure, the furnishing and the landscaping. I’m also the Public Relations chair for an organization on campus called OU Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals is a global organization that builds kitchens onto schools in third world countries in order to end the cycle of hunger and poverty. I am in charge of the social media for the organization, therefore designing images and posts are very important to me!
