Newsletter Final Draft

This week I finished my design for the Newsletter InDesign assignment. We were instructed to go back and fill in our dummy layout with articles and corresponding pictures. To me, this was the fun part because I already knew what content I wanted to use so I just got to play around with making sure everything fit. I really enjoyed finding all of the stories and articles to use because they were about things I would actually want to read about if I were to subscribe to this particular newsletter. They were all positive and exciting stories that pertained to many different audiences–not just little kids.

Once I saw how everything fell into place, I was very pleased with my design and wanted to show off my hard work. I feel much more comfortable working with InDesign now and the videos posted really do help me a lot. I wanted my newsletter to be geared toward an external public (aka people who were interested in visiting the parks and interested in the Disney lifestyle). Once I had established who I wanted my audience to be, it was very easy to find stories and pictures to attract this public. I really liked this assignment and would love to work further on things like this in the future!
