Newsletter Reflection
This week was one of my favorite weeks so far. When the class was first assigned to make a newsletter for a company of our choice, I was worried about the amount of work and if I would be able to be creative enough. After this past week of constantly working on my newsletter and seeing hundreds of Nike Ads, I feel really good about my project.
The only thing I truly struggled with my project was the amount of color I felt was needed. Does the background need color? The titles? Decks? Literally everything I put on my newsletter went through about eight different color makeovers during this process. In the end, I decided to keep everything very simple and let the pictures bring the color to the newsletter. I’m so happy with my final decision because it doesn’t overpower the entire design and allows your eyes to go across the entire page without stoping to look at home many multicolored titles I had.
This semester is going by much faster than I ever wanted it to, and I can’t believe how much I have learned in this class when it seems like I have only been enrolled in it for three weeks. With every project, I seem to know where to start and how to make my vision come to life in half the time of the last. I am glad I got the chance to take this class because it has given me the experience so many companies want you to have and has allowed me to make projects I am proud of that I can show to potential employers.
Here is my final newsletter for your viewing pleasure:
