Newsletter Reflection

So, I am finally finished with my Newsletter that I designed as an internal newsletter for the Adidas group. The assignment felt like a culmination of a lot of the things that we have learned so far. I worked mostly in InDesign which ended up being very labor intensive.Anytime I work in inDesign I end up spending a long time trying to make everything perfect. But, what I learned is that the project, much like a piece of art, isn’t ever done or perfect, you just have to reach a stopping point where you’re happy.I also did some editing of photos and the Adidas logo in photoshop.

For the design, I really wanted to keep things simple and clean, sticking with the brand’s image. They don’t really have a brand color, but I found a lot of their publications used cyan blue, so I used that as the main accent color, but made the logo neon pink for a fun element, also I like pink.

Overall, I really like the way it turned out and i’m proud of it. There are definitely elements that i would change, like spacing and the such, but some thingsI couldn’t figure out how to fix without redoing the whole page. But next time, i’m sure I will improve even more.
