Olivia Taylor: Professional Portrait

Hello everyone! I’m Olivia Taylor, a junior at the University of Oklahoma. I am from Russellville, AR and am majoring in public relations and minoring in G.I.S. (Geographic Information Systems) with the hope of working in community outreach and urban planning upon graduation. I am also extremely passionate about track and field, and currently run for OU’s Women’s Cross Country and Track teams. I would to love to combine my interests in community outreach with my interest in the sport of track and field. Aside from these running, I also love camping, kayaking, rock climbing, badminton, and anything else to do with the outdoors!

The picture above is of myself at my favorite spot on campus – Gaylord College! I really enjoy how modern (both design wise and technologically) the entire college is and I love studying there in all the little nooks and crannies that are so carefully laid out around the college.

The internship I just completed this past summer – working with my hometown’s Main Street Russellville organization – made me realize how important design is to any communications job. During my time with Main Street Russellville, I completed numerous logos and promotional materials for everything from upcoming events, to newsletters, to everyday social media. I am excited to learn more about new software and improve my own design skills!
