This week we were in the final stages of designing our direct mailer project. This project has been a process. While I know that my design is not perfect, I am happy to have gotten more familiar with Photoshop. Coming into this assignment I was nervous about working with it. I still have a lot to learn about the program but I came out of it knowing a lot more than when I started the project. Some of the differences I discovered between Photoshop and InDesign were that Photoshop is more for a one step at a time process. In that I mean that Photoshop works well with one page at a time in which you can perfect a project or image. InDesign works well for combining them all and ensuring all the pages of the project flow well together.

While I think that my skills in Photoshop have come a long way, I am not sure how complex my design is. I do however, think there is a semblance of fluidity between my designs. That was something that was important to me from the start. I wanted to make sure that even though the two direct mailers were intended for different audiences that they would still look like they came from the same place. If I were to start this project over again, I might attempt a more complex design. While I am confident that my design could intrigue some of the audience I might take my skill level in Photoshop one step further and keep exploring the program.
