PR WRITING: Infographic Analysis
This week in PR writing we were studying infographics. We were tasked with choosing one that we think is done well. I chose one that was done by Rasmussen College centering on the statistics of caffeinated products in our society. I chose this infographic because it stood out to me and was interesting. The infographic is successful because it makes effective use of visuals as well as text. The infographic gives essential information about what these products contain and can be helpful to people who are interested in what is going into their bodies. This infographic makes it easy to congest the data. The information is presented in a graphic way therefore the text is easier to read and understand.
This infographic could have easily been presented in a graph or a table because it is data, however that is boring and something that most people wouldn’t think twice about scrolling by. The visuals draw people in. It is presented in a way that appeal to people on a personal level. This infographic is also successful because it uses popular everyday items to help people understand what they are putting into their bodies.
