Carmelo Anthony in Limbo, NY Times Sports, February 9, 2016
Clearly this past week has been huge in sports. Superbowl 50 was won by the Denver Broncos and there has been the expected major hype surrounding it. Peyton Manning’s brother, Eli, was caught on film not too excited about his brother’s performance; causing a lot of memes and vines to be created. On the losing side, Carolina Panther’s quarterback Cam Newton has been accused of being a sore loser, only participating in the post-game interview for three minutes and answering one question. In the NBA, coach upon coach has been fired, as explained by the article It’s Open Season on Coaches in NBA. The most recent “release” of a coach has been Derek Fisher of the New York Knicks, causing the star player Carmelo Anthony to be caught in a disappointed limbo, despite claiming that “he’s been through worse.”
