Hi! My names is Jenna Smith I am a senior majoring in public relations at the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, I would like to work for an agency or entertainment corporation within the public relations or advertising and marketing industry.

When it comes to design, I have always been inspired by the discipline. My passion for design intensified when I became an intern last spring at World Literature Today, an international literary magazine. Through this internship, I work very closely with the Art Director to create the overall look for the bi-monthly publication. Throughout my internship, I continue to learn about Adobe InDesign through watching Lynda.com training tutorials.

Through my internship this past summer, I had the opportunity to learn about the creative aspects of design and production in the Chicago office of 360i, a digital marketing agency based in New York. I worked with the New York office through phone meetings to go over creative digital campaign ideas for the Nestlé Skinny Cow master brand. As a strategy intern, I had the opportunity to see how insight and strategy inform the creative process. It was also rewarding to see some of my research come to life through the creative work. I had an absolutely amazing experience to be surrounded by so many insanely talented individuals.

I am so excited to further my knowledge about the concepts and execution of design this fall semester. I am also eager to dive into Adobe software and produce highly creative content.
