Professional Portrait

My name is Katie Turner – also known as KT. I am a lover of all things happy, bright and full of love. I study public relations at the University of Oklahoma and will graduate in May 2016. Business and Spanish are my minors, and I have studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain.

I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma – also known as t-town. I have one younger brother and two incredible parents. I love Jesus with everything and base my life around  my relationship with Him. I find my value in the cross. I believe in the power of accountability and the importance of friendships that challenge and support me. I am motivated by change and challenge.

Some of my hobbies include creating new relationships, holding tight to old ones, traveling, planning and eating yummy food. I love to babysit, drink coffee, shop at Anthropology and go on spontaneous adventures.

I am thrilled to learn more about design this semester after my internship this past summer. As the special events intern at BOK Center in Tulsa, I was able to plan and publicize the events being held. Planning is an area I am confident in, but I am ready to learn more about publicizing the events that I plan.
