Reflection

This week in PR Pubs, it was boot camp! Mr. Croom walked us through all of the necessities four our up coming projects. This week, were asked to put our patience and skills to the test as we learned the basics of adobe photoshop and adobe indesign. We were asked to complete various projects on both programs. For the majority of the class, we practiced using various tools and other principles of indesign and photoshop that we learned in class. At first, I responded well to what we were asked to do. I listened intently and took a few notes while Mr. Croom was explaining the how, what, why, where, when and whens of photoshop and indeisgn. Then, Mr. Croom had us start practice using the programs and my response changed a bit. Both programs require precision and patience, two things I do not have. When my practices began looking crazy, I began getting discouraged and frustrated. I know my optimism soon changed and I began to get frustrated because I do not like when I do not do well in anything I do (school, extra curriculars, etc.). I lost patience and when I wasn’t getting it after awhile, I began to get discouraged. I think once I go back and watch the tutorials and keep practicing, I will get better at using the programs and my optimistic approach will return!
