Reflection

Well, I have FINALLY completed my second design project (YAY).  I never thought I would see the day. Photoshop has been a real frustration in my life for the past several days, but we have sort of developed  a love/hate relationship.

For this specific project, we were asked to create a direct mailer for the University of Oklahoma Recruitment Services. I created my mailer for the School of Meteorology with 2 separate, but related stakeholders: Females ages 16-18 at Magnet Schools on the West Coast and their College Guidance Counselors.

I expected that photoshop would be substantially more difficult than indesign, simply because of the amount of options on the tool bar. My assumption was completely false. It didn’t turn out to be as bad as I was making it out to be in my head. Once I sat down and got my creative juices flowing, the project became significantly easier and enjoyable.

As I’ve said in my previous reflections, there has been a negative connotioation  with anything resembling photoshop. This week and this project has removed that negativity! I now understand (sort of) photoshop.  I am really excited to work on more projects with this program!
