Reflection

This week the Public Relations Publications class was focused on learning how to create a direct mailer. We chose two targeted publics, and we created a mailer for each. We also had to create a pitch video for our design.

This design became very easy once I started going. Direct mailers have to be simple so that they are understandable in the short amount of time that people have them in their hands (from the mailbox to the trash). I think these pieces achieve that. I am more proud of the veteran piece, however, I like the symmetry involved in the junior college piece. I am pretty confident in the work I did. I think they could have been better if I spent a pinch more time on them, but they could have been a lot worse as well.

I have always looked at photoshop and indesign as brothers. However photoshop is much more creative where indesign is a tad anal.
