Reflection
What were you asked to do?
This week in my PR publications class we were asked to start our first design project. The finished project will consist of a business card and a letterhead, but we only focused on the business card this week. For my business card’s organization, I decided to pick the Carnival Cruise Line.
For research purposes, we were asked to create three Pinterest boards that would help us understand our organization’s competition and to help us gain ideas for our project. After the research was completed, we could then start our draft of our business card!
How did you respond to what you were asked to do?
I responded somewhat excited about this week’s assignment! Of course I changed my mind several times about which organization that I wanted to choose, but I think Carnival was the best decision. After learning InDesign last week, I am eager to try new things to better my understanding of the software.
How did react to what you actually did?
I am not as impressed as I thought I would be with my business card. Needless to say, I am glad this week was only the draft-version of the card. I would love to get feedback on my business card, because I know that it definitely needs some work!
Why do you think your reaction was what it was?
I think I wasn’t too impressed with myself because the front side of my business card is “too busy.” I almost feel like I should make the front less crowded, and make the back side have the image of the beach.
Maybe I don’t need a background image at all? I just know that I need some feedback!
