Reflection

For my most recent PR publications assignment, I was asked to design a business card for a company of my choice. When I heard about this assignment, I thought that it might be kind of intimidating. As I said in my last reflection, I’m not very good with visual creativity and I wasn’t sure how I would be able to come up with something on my own. Once I finally finished my first draft, I was not totally upset with my work. Granted, it is an incredibly simple design, and requires absolutely no creativity at all, but I did it by myself and I was proud of myself for that. I think I was most proud of myself just because I never create anything “pretty” per se. Even my handwriting is horrible and embarrassing. I’m also not good at crafting either, which seems to be a very popular hobby nowadays. Because of these qualities, I was surprised by my work. I was also surprised how easy InDesign was to navigate which definitely made things a little simpler! Check out my first draft below. Reflection
