Reflection

In my PR Publications class I was asked to pick a company and locate their logo then conduct the Analysis-Synthesis Bridge Model for the company. Also, I was asked to create Pinterest boards that included a competitor analysis and an inspiration & mood board. I composed a communications strategy for Triton Properties, LLC., and posted three blog posts over the process of analyzing the companies industry. Finally, I created a logo and drafted a business card for Triton Properties, LLC.

While I found a lot of frustration in creating a logo using Adobe Illustrator, I enjoyed the process of figuring out the different tools and functions of the software. I questioned the amount of research that was asked to be conducted in order to create a business card, but by going through the different steps helped deepen my perspective on the design I wanted to create.

After completely my first draft I am satisfied with the simplicity of the design, but see too much of a similarity in the logo design and business card design. I am in the process of thinking of ways to further develop the creativity of the business card while keeping the “clean” and “simple” goal.

I think my reaction of being satisfied with the logo I created was rewarding because I was able to create a piece of work that held a personal connection through self-teaching myself how to operate the creative software.
