Business Card
For the past week, I had to design a business card for an organization of my choice. I chose to design it for World Literature Today, the literature magazine at the University of Oklahoma where I serve as a fall communications intern.
Apart to what most people think about designing, I ventured onto another aspect of design: research. I learned to compare my organization to its competitors and seek a competitive advantage. For World Literature, the competitive advantage is the place it has earned in the international community. I took that advantage and placed a design around this theme. I also wanted the look of the magazine to represent a modern look for the younger generation. I took this into the design the simplicity seen on the magazine’s issues and placed it with a faded grey world on a black background.
The faded world background in the design is in coherence with World Literature’s mission to serve its international readers and provide national one’s with international literature.
