During these past couple of weeks in my PR pubs class, we were asked to design both a business card and letterhead for a business of our choosing. I chose lululemon athletica as the brand I’d be representing because I am familiar with their business dynamics and the values they work by.

We were asked to research deeper about the company and then take what we found and apply that to our design so that the brand was reflected in our designs. I was actually very excited about this project because I felt like I had a vision for the business card and letterhead right away.

When it actually came time to create the products things were a little more frustrating than what I had expected. I couldn’t seem to get my vision to come to life because of my lack of experience with InDesign. After asking a few questions and talking with other students during our peer critiques things became a lot simpler. I figured out how to portray what I had been wanting to portray all along and my confidence with InDesign was heightened.
