Carnival-Business-Card-Final.jpg

Reflection

Woo hoo! I’m finally done with my first design project for PR Publications! I have learned a lot in this process and think I have accomplished a lot. After receiving feedback about my horrible beach draft, I made an easy-to-read business card and matching letterhead that reflected Carnival.

The most dramatic change I made was the difference between the first and second draft. I started completely over and made the business card and letterhead look cleaner.

However, when I was finishing the project with the final touches, I only made a few changes. (Thank goodness I didn’t have to start completely over this time).

I definitely feel a lot more confident when I use InDesign. I think that I learn better by doing, rather than just watching.

Something I would do differently if I started over would be to actually follow the inspiration from the business cards I saw on Pinterest. I sort of went my own direction and it didn’t pay off in the end… But! I think my business card and letterhead looks awesome now!

Overall, I was impressed with myself in the end and am happy with my work!

This is the final draft of the front of my business card.

And the back.

And finally, the final draft of my letterhead!
