Reflection

In my PR Publications class, I was asked to create a business card and a letterhead using Adobe InDesign for an organization of my choice. I created a logo, business card and letterhead for Trition Properties, LLC. After two weeks of editing, revising and critiquing my work, with the help of classmate’s opinions, I was ready to export my work to a JPEG to submit to my teacher.

When we were first assigned this project as a class I was a little nervous to dive into the Adobe world because of my limited knowledge. To my advantage I found that choosing an organization that I was passionate about helped ease some of the uncertainty. I quickly discovered new ideas upon new ideas as I adventured deeper within InDesign.

Now that my product is complete, I feel more confident using Adobe InDesign that I even began designing a creative resume using the software program for the upcoming career fair for Gaylord College.

 

A long term goal for my design was to create something that incorporated personal aspects of my family’s lifestyle, considering Triton Properties, LLC., is owned and operated by my parents. I consulted with my parents several times during the design process, making sure to adhere to every detail and concern they had with the design.

Although, I like the simplicity of my design, if I were able to start over I would research more abstract and trendy designs to challenge my creative skills

For the future students to be assigned this project, take your time to research several ideas and brainstorm with more than one concept.
