Reflection

1. How has your first stakeholder help define your second stakeholder?

My first stakeholder targeted prospective undergraduates interested in attending law school, who were seeking an education at a reasonable cost while still obtaining a exceptional legal education. Defining my first stakeholder as undergraduates looking for a balanced education helped me define my second stakeholder as OU law students who would be interested in studying abroad. OU College of Law offers a study abroad program at Oxford University in England. While studying abroad seems like a pricey option for students looking who were seeking a law school with tuition rates that won’t leave them in debt for eternity, participants have said, “studying abroad is a once in a lifetime opportunity.” Since studying abroad offers an over-seas experience with an Oxford education while receiving college credit and traveling at a student discount, many students see this as a prime opportunity to embrace a different culture.

2. Has your design changed since the last draft? What influenced the changes?

My design has changed since my last draft when I realized “less is more”. I noticed both my designs were advertising the values of the college of law versus having a clear call to action. I redesigned my direct mailers to have the images showcase the values and experience of apply to OU college of law and applying for the Oxford Summer Program, while narrowing down the text to specific actions or statements.

3. What similarities and differences have you found between Photoshop and InDesign?

Some similarities I’ve found with Photoshop and InDesign are the editing tools, especially the pop up boxes and color scales. Having a familiar keyboard for all Creative Cloud applications help learn the software a lot easier. Some differences I have found between Photoshop and InDesign in having to design each page of my direct mailer in a new window with Photoshop, whereas InDesign lets you create multiple pages under one window.
