Reflection

I think these reflections are important to write because I have learned a lot since the beginning of the class and it makes me go back and think about what we have accomplished.

I now recognize the differences between InDesign and Photoshop and why some people prefer Photoshop. It is more advanced than InDesign but we have done things to our direct mailers in Photoshop that I’m not even sure you can do in InDesign. For instance, I placed banners on my direct mailers and changed the opacity. You can probably do this in InDesign, I don’t exactly know, but it is much more comprehensive in Photoshop. Now, I see Photoshop as more of a graphics and design program and InDesign is something I would make a newsletter, brochure or resume in.

This was my original direct mailer design and as I complete my second one I want to focus more on what alumni and older adults would be interested in seeing.
