Reflection
I really am enjoying the book Designing for Emotion!
One thing I agreed with in Chapter 2 was how it helps using contrast to design websites. When colors are used that contrast each other it draws the viewer into the main idea. Like how Tumblr does with it’s user sign up page. It represents simplicity which is what I like when I am viewing content, especially when I am about to sign up for something. When website have information cluttered everything it makes me just want to exit out and not even deal with it!
One thing I can’t completely agree with is that emotions are a fundamental part of who we are as human beings. Even though we all have emotions and emotions can benefit our wok. To get kind of get off subject, I learned in one of my other classes that working while have emotions of sadness can benefit our work just as well as doing projects with good emotions. The only problem I have with the book saying that emotions make us who we are as human beings is that emotions come and go. We have to know how to control our emotions in life and let passion drive us to become who we are meant to be.
