Reflection

PR Pubs required a domain/ blog to document progress and assignments week to week. This is my first domain/ blog and I truly loved this part of the class. I began to appreciate it a lot more after we first got started.

Now how do I plan to use this domain/ blog afterward this class? I plan to make a portfolio page to present examples of my work to future employers. It will include a thumbnail of final work, a short summary of the project, and a link to my blog post where I reflected on the project. This will absolutely be something I utilize when looking for jobs. Even in looking for summer internships for this upcoming summer most applications asked for samples of work. I have heard more and more blogs are a great way for an applicant to show who they are and what they can do. I can see myself continuing this blog throughout the summer for my social media marketing internship. I know I will be working on various projects that I want to remember and show future employers. Now that I am more experienced in design I might change my blog up a bit. Redesign it to make it more tailored to me and not just a bland class blog. For now, I see myself sticking with WordPress until I graduate. I will lose this domain and probably get my own on another space and have an “About me” page and “Contact” page and use it as a creative resume with my work/ projects. I never thought of myself as a blogger but I have really enjoyed the reflection of it all. I like that it was specific to a class too. I don’t think I could ever just blog day to day like “today I woke up and went to school”… I need a specific topic, like PR Pubs, to blog about, you know?
