Reflection

Whew! I made it through “bootcamp”!

This weeks lesson was definitely time consuming but totally worth it because I learned so much about Photoshop and InDesign. I am definitely a beginner with these two programs, but the videos helped me and also the office hours with Professor Croom were worth my time.

We were asked to watch two hours worth of videos on those two programs. After I watched them I felt so overwhelmed. It was too much information to take in at once. Luckily, I had a free schedule and made it to office hours. I always seem to learn more when it is hands on and I can ask specific questions instead of just “winging it”.

In office hours, I finished the Candy newspaper article. It was a little scary at first but once I got the hang of it, it took no time. I truly learned so much with that exercise. I always tend to get overwhelmed quickly so I think that is why I thought InDesign was a scary and intimidating program. I feel like with that one exercise, I now understand the beginning stages  of creating and designing different things and I am ready to get deeper with projects!
