Reflection 3/11/2015
We are now in the second week of using Photoshop. This week we defined another stakeholder to send a direct mailer to and began the draft on that design. The stakeholder for my second direct mailer is a female high school student who is attending or considering attending OU in the fall. The call to action is for them to sign up for PanHellenic Recruitment.
I am really having trouble transitioning from InDesign to Photoshop. There is so much more you can do visually with Photoshop, all the options leave me just sitting there wondering even where to begin. Should I alter the photo? Make it black and white? Should I isolate this section of this photo? All these questions have caused me to fall behind. I am unsure of where to begin. To be honest, I miss InDesign. InDesign is a little more ridged therefore the options are more limited than Photoshop. I like the creativity Photoshop offers but all the different features are setting me back. I need to spend more time outside of class playing with my design ideas in Photoshop.
I had more experience with Photoshop when entering this class and it is not coming back to me as quickly or easily as I thought. I hope to make more progress on Thursday and start to create some type of design theme.
