Reflection
This week I updated my direct-mailer by adding some contact information so that either the first (prospective students) or the second (high school counselors) stakeholders could contact me if they have any questions or concerns.
I chose my second stakeholder to be high school guidance counselors because I know firsthand that these people can have a huge impact on student’s attitudes of which college or university to attend. I want my direct-mailer to serve not only as a source of information, but also as an invitation welcoming them to come see OU.
Although I did not change my front page of the direct-mailer, I did add some contact information on the back page. I figured this would be helpful to the students, parents and/or counselors who may have any further questions or comments about the informational day.
Surprisingly with this assignment I didn’t have too many problems with operating Photoshop. I automatically assumed that since I had kind of gotten the hang of working with InDesign the past few weeks that I would really be struggling to remember how to use Photoshop, but luckily that wasn’t the case. Some differences include how you manage and edit photos in Photoshop as opposed to InDesign where you can’t really change your image. The sidebars and font keys are pretty much they same, if not pretty similar in both programs which is really helpful. I can proudly say that I now feel fairly comfortable using both programs.
