Reflection

This week, we had to finish our two direct mailers for our target stakeholders. My two stakeholders were a 16-18 year old junior or senior enrolled in an Oklahoma high school whose parent(s) are alumni of the university.   My second stakeholder is the parent(s) of my prospective college student. My call to action for the students is to take a tour and experience yOUr University of Oklahoma. My call to action for the parents is passing on the tradition of being a Sooner. My first stakeholder helped me determine my second stakeholder because once I narrowed down my first stakeholder, I was able to determine who would have a large influence on my prospective students and who would be inclined to feel some sort of obligation to the university as well as their student. I thought alumni parents incorporated both aspects of my desired stakeholder well. My design is constantly changing and I am never satisfied with my design. By my final draft I will hopefully have a better-channeled design that has my call to action clearly identified. I think the biggest difference between photoshop and indesign is that indesign allows you to compile images, words, and other design elements in order to create a larger image, whereas photoshop focus on the enhancement of one main image. Some of the effects and tools are the same on both programs.
