Reflection

Since I was unable to draft my first direct mailer last week due to the weather, I will be reflecting on my first draft of my direct mailer this week for my PR Publications class.

I feel that after I was able to create my first stakeholder, which I selected to be prospective students looking at attending the University of Oklahoma who are wanting to remain involved throughout college and whose parents obtained a college degree, but not from OU. Creating my second stakeholder was a bit easier for me, since I was able to relate it to my first. I ended up making parents of prospective students my second stakeholder, which I was aware of how to do from our lesson last week.

With this being only my first draft, I had a hard time navigating Photoshop. My direct mailer is definitely nowhere near perfect yet. I had some trouble trying to correct the resolution of my design, but I will continue to fix this issue for my final direct mailerI also found that once I saved my direct mailer as a jpeg, the color changed some, which I will continue to work on fixing throughout the next week.

In my opinion, I have found Photoshop to be more difficult to navigate than Photoshop. Both have a variety of the same tools to use, but I feel as if I was just starting to get the hang out InDesign once we finished our business card and letterhead assignment. I am still learning with Photoshop and look forward to hopefully learning the ropes of Photoshop throughout this assignment.
