Reflection – 5.1 Newsletter

This week in my PR Publications class we had the opportunity to learn how to properly set up a Newsletter for a Fortune 500 company. We were required to make sure all of the key elements of a newsletter were present in our project such as Headers, Bylines, Jump Quotes and more. On top of the technical aspects of newsletters that had to be implemented, we also were able to practice design concepts such as alignment, color, font and layout.

 

I chose to create a newsletter for Nike because I previously created a business card for them and I really enjoy working with something that I have a passion for.

 

My first page has the Nike Logo at the top with a silver bar to complement the black logo and white background. My two stories were over Kobe Bryant’s international trip to Asia and a new, modern Nike store in Seattle.

 

 

My Second page is one story over Nike uniform technology. I designed it with two wide columns that fit the entire page.

 

 

 

 

My third page is also one story that has two wide columns that take up the entire page. I also added my jump quote in this story.
