Reflection

In my PR pubs class this past week, we got to work with Canva. Canva is a website that allows anyone to create graphics for free unless they choose to pay for texts, backgrounds or any other part of the design.

For this assignment, we were asked to create a Facebook cover, a Facebook post, a Twitter cover and an Instagram post. These four assignments made up our design blitz. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work.

I think that I did really well on all of these assignments. I thought Canva would be hard to use, but once I finished the tutorials I felt a lot more confident about my abilities to create good photos.

I really like what I did for this assignment. It was a little outside of my normal look, but I think it went great. I really liked getting to play with the filters and transparency. I really enjoyed getting to try out many different text boxes and layouts. It was a really exciting project and I was really happy with my work on this assignment. I felt more comfortable with this website.

I believe that I was happier with my work, because I felt comfortable with the website. I also had my professor give me some tips and I believe that his help allowed me to think about creating different designs outside of what I was originally thinking. I am really happy with how my designs turned out. I think there is definitely room to improve, but I am pleased with the designs that I was able to complete.

I believe that Canva is a really great tool. It is nice, because it is simple to use and already has a number of text boxes, layouts and backgrounds that can be used. It is also nice to have the ability to upload personal photos. I believe it is a great tool that is simple to use and great work can be done quickly. However, there are some drawbacks. You definitely lack freedom to really design your own template and it is not super easy to alter the photo. The layers can be kind of tough to use. However, many of these are small drawbacks.

My ideas and my way of designing definitely changed once I saw the capabilities of Canva. I was wanting to have a clean and simple look, but I think I was able to deliver a more classier look than I thought I would have been able to do. It was a really fun assignment and Canva is a great tool. It can’t be used for everything, but I really liked using it.
