Reflection

In PR Publications we were asked to design a newsletter for a fortune 500 company. The company I decided to make a newsletter for was Walt Disney. I thought that it would be fun and exciting. I responded well to this assignment because I have grown up watching Disney movies as a kid and it applies to all ages when you plan a trip to Disney World.

I found this assignment to be quite challenging. It was difficult and time consuming to make sure everything aligned correctly. When trying to make my design colorful I kept deleting the textbox I had made to go over the color block. I finally got the hang of it towards the end. I definitely appreciate the behind the scenes people who create actual newsletters. I think the reason I reacted this way was because I had to re-familiarize myself with InDesign because we were working on Photoshop before.

My target audience definitely took a pull in the way I designed this newsletter. I wanted to make it appealing to children and their parents by showing the different attractions coming to Disney World this summer. I chose the pictures I used to attract the children to what is in right now like Frozen. The adults attraction I chose the Aerosmith rollercoaster. The Cinderella Castle is something for everyone children and parents.

Here is my final newsletter.
