Reflection

Lesson 1.3 challenged me to pay attention to detail and remain patient when things didn’t go as easy as I wanted them to.

We were asked to know and locate elements of a newsletter and recreate the text of a newsletter. The first part of the assignment was critical to the second part because the first part gave us a foundation of what we needed to know.

At first I was frustrated because I thought that I knew more about Indesign because I’m a little familiar with Photoshop. I quickly forgot about those notions and decided to humble myself and learn from scratch.

When I started to get into the groove of things, my confidence returned because I was able to pick up on the concepts quickly and I felt like I was accomplishing something. I know that this is just the tip of the iceberg, but it’s nice knowing that I’m able to adapt to concepts that I’m not familiar with and put the tools to use.
