Reflection Lesson 12

This week, we were asked to go back and refine our newsletter. We needed to add images and news worthy articles to our newsletter instead of place holders and mock text. This newsletter needs to be print ready so the images had to be of a higher quality and the over all design had to be a finished, smooth product. I think I responded well to what I was asked to do. At first I was a little overwhelmed when trying to find articles and photos, but once I found them, it was just tweaking the newsletter to make everything fit and flow in a fashionable manner, I liked my final product. I am a long time Macy’s customer and their look is simple and tri colored with some flare. I tried to mimic their signature look in my newsletter. Every time I finish a design, I always think it could have been better or I could have done something more, but that is just human nature to be our own critics. Creating the mock layout was extremely beneficial for me. I was able to start a vision for a design before actually polluting it with stories and pictures. It was nice to take it step by step.
