Reflection So Far

So far, I have designed two major documents in InDesign for my Public Relations Publications class at the University of Oklahoma. I designed a business card (front and back) and a one-sided letterhead.

I enjoyed both of the projects because it was my first chance to work with InDesign, and I felt accomplished when I completed them. The projects were also fun to work on because they are relevant to the future work that I will be doing in the industry no matter the path that I take.

Advice that I would give to future students working on the project would be to ideate. It is important to let your brain create in its own way, and that is much easier when you allow time to think. The simpler the idea, the easier that it is to begin; however, I think one statement design on the document is important to make it unique.

Going forward, I am excited to become more comfortable with InDesign so that I am more capable for my future jobs in the industry, but for now, I feel well prepared to do basic work in the program.
