Reflection | Week Eight
For the direct mailer, I segmented my stakeholder analysis to focus on incoming University of Oklahoma students open to enrolling in Gaylord College. Through a Stakeholders Matrix, I pinpointed specific values and trends to inform my mailer design and messaging.
While I’m tempted to view the stakeholder analysis as tedious, extra steps, I appreciate this opportunity to exercise smart public relations habits. While the matrix is fairly helpful for reference, I think developing a more-developed persona for my own use may prove even more helpful.
Research is smart, but it’s easy to skip. Building strong research habits can feel monotone — but it’s a rookie mistake to pass over critical intelligence.
