Research

In my PR Publications class we were asked to choose an organization we were most interested in. I chose Golin PR Agency. I recently had the opportunity to visit Golin in Dallas, TX, last semester with the PRSSA group. We were given a tour and had several members of the Golin team speak with us. It was a very exciting experience because I honestly never thought I would want to work at an agency but Golin definitely changed my mind. We were asked to research the company we were interested in and answer a few questions about it.

1. What is your organization’s mission–the service or product it sells? Golin recently changed their mission and name of the company. It used to be Golin Harris. I found their mission on the Golin homepage and it is stated below.

“Go All In is our commitment to bravery over mediocrity.

It’s how we approach our careers by doubling down in what makes us special.
It’s how we help our clients commit to trailblazing ideas that create change.
It’s how we have each other’s backs as we push the limits of what is expected.”

2. Who are its main competitors? Edelman, Ketchum and Idea Grove are some of the main competitors in the Dallas area. When I research Golins other locations they had different competitors in the different areas.

3. What are your organization’s most dominant attitudes and core values? I found this on the Golin website.

“At Golin, we possess the power to inspire and create change. By embracing new technologies and pushing creative boundaries, we help our clients adapt and win in a constantly changing world.

We do things differently. Using our revolutionary g4 model, our specialist communities use proprietary tools to plan and execute powerful campaigns designed to create positive change for our clients.
