In my PR Publications class we are creating a business card and letterhead for an organization of our choice. I have chosen The Toby Keith Foundation. I chose this organization because when tragedy struck my family in January of 2014, the foundation made it easier on my cousin to receive his treatment by providing him with a cost-free home-away-from-home. In this blog post, I will be analyzing the organizations resources, processes and values.
The mission of The Toby Keith Foundation is to provide pediatric patients faced with terminal illnesses a cost free home during their treatments and visits at the OU Children’s Hospital. It is run strictly on funds given by donors or raised through fundraisers.
Although it is a non-profit organization, The Toby Keith Foundation strives to be competitive with other pediatric and family illnesses, such as the Ronald McDonald House.
The core values of the foundation are to provide the means to families who are undergoing extreme medical costs. The attitude of the foundation is to be a positive and uplifting place for families and children to be when not going through treatment. They have playgrounds inside and outside, a game room, a theatre room, a smart table (for fun and educational purposes), and many toys for children of all ages to play with. There is also a sanctuary room for those who wish to pray.
