For my PR publications course we are designing a business card and letterhead for a business of our choice. I chose to make this print material for the dental office, Kathleen Nichols DDS. I choose this company because I worked there as a office assistant for eight years and she is recently bringing in a new partner so this printed material will be implemented into the new partnership. For this assignment I will be analyzing what the companies current needs are, as well as their core values and how they want to represent themselves to the customer.
The mission of this organization is to “exceed the expectation” by “providing” the customer with the “best service ever.” They provide dental care to families, which include cosmetic dentistry, prevention dentistry, general dentistry, implant dentistry and general dentistry.
This companies main competitors are the chain dentistry places in Texas as well as the other privately own practices. Since a new dentist is coming in a a partner it will be important to build trust with loyal patients as well as buzz with potential new patients. Since Kathleen Nichols DDS is a family dentistry they should be branded as a all encompassing practice that can handle anything from a babies first tooth to preventive dental health measures. Since they are a privately owned, family company, their patients can expect to be treated like a part of the family.
This companies focus is to provide excellent care along with comfort to make patients feel comfortable and help them enjoy their dental care experience. They do this through providing movies and music during long procedures through the use of “movie goggles.” They also have warm blankets and pillows for patients who are going through a long procedure. Along with providing their patients the “best care ever,” they also provide support to the local community through their volunteer work at Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM), where they provide free dental care to people who can not afford it and the Children’s Dental Health Fair, where they educate children about dental heath and cleaning habits.
